Los Angeles Water Quality
Tap Water — What's Actually In It

Meets federal standards. Doesn't mean it's clean.

Chromium-6

Above California's Public Health Goal. Linked to cancer in long-term studies. Standard carbon filters don't touch it.

PFAS "Forever Chemicals"

Synthetic chemicals that accumulate in the body. Found in SoCal water supplies. Only reverse osmosis removes them effectively.

Chloramines & Byproducts

Used to disinfect LA's water. Can form harmful byproducts (THMs) that affect taste, odor, and long-term health.

Aging Pipes

Lead and copper leach from older building pipes — after the treatment plant, before your tap. Invisible without testing.

AquaWell's 9-stage RO removes 95–99% of these contaminants, then adds back alkaline minerals (Ca, Mg, K) to reach pH 8.5–9.5. Water that doesn't just pass the test — it's actually good.

Why Alkaline

Not all water is created equal.

Alkaline water isn't a trend — it's chemistry. Here's what makes it different from what comes out of your tap.

Higher pH

Standard tap water is neutral to slightly acidic (pH 6–7). AquaWell targets pH 8.5–9.5 — alkaline enough to neutralize acid in the body and support proper hydration.

Added Minerals

After 9-stage RO removes contaminants, we add back calcium, magnesium, and potassium — essential electrolytes stripped by standard filtration. You get pure water with the minerals your body needs.

Antioxidant Properties

Alkaline water has a negative oxidation-reduction potential (ORP) — meaning it acts as an antioxidant in the body, helping to neutralize free radicals that contribute to oxidative stress.*

Better Hydration

Alkaline water molecules may be more easily absorbed at the cellular level compared to acidic water — making it the preferred choice for health-conscious individuals, athletes, and families.*

Tastes Better

The difference is immediately noticeable. Alkaline water is smooth, clean, and free of the chlorine taste and odor common in LA tap water. Residents notice it from their very first fill.

Contaminant-Free

Our 9-stage RO removes 95–99% of contaminants — chromium-6, PFAS, lead, chloramines, and more — before enhancing with alkaline minerals. The result is water that's both pure and beneficial.
